Queer Archives Project

Sample "Interpretative Paths"

One of the Queer Archives Project's key goals is supporting teaching and learning in Queer Studies.  Interpretive Paths are critical to this undertaking.  Unlike Themes and Keywords, which organize and connect site materials, Interpretive Paths are contributed by researchers.  Paths are writing-intensive, thesis-driven essays that thread through the site.

Shaped by engaging with, reflecting on and writing about site materials, Paths synthesize site content and integrate critical thinking directly into the Queer Archives Project, expanding and enriching it.  These media-rich essays "connect the dots" in original ways, contributing new ideas and knowledge.  Interpretive Paths are added by permission of a site administrator.
