Black Campus Movement

Between 1965 and 1972, students across the country organized Black Student Unions and issued demands to their administrations to make higher education relevant to the Black experience. With the creation of Black Studies programs and departments as one example, the Black Campus Movement resulted in one of the most transformative educational movements in American history.
