In 1968, there were seven Black students on campus. In alignment with the national Black Campus Movement, a number of these students joined together to form the Association of Black Collegians (ABC). The first Constitution of the organization reads: "The primary purpose of this organization shall be the promotion of liberation and unity among all Black people."
