Communities: Conclusion
By exploring the different forms of community, we not only gain an increased understanding of queer life within a historically hostile institution, but we can also appreciate the variety of experiences involved in living in “the LGBTQ Community.” By doing so, we can begin to distance ourselves from the idea that queer communities are a monolithic group, and further, that queer people are all one and the same.
